Yael & Gabriel are a duet from New York. Gabriel Hermida is an Argentinian guitar player and composer, and Yael Dray-Barel is a French/Israeli singer songwriter. They have been working together on an original songs project. Their first album "Mar del Plata" was released in August 2013. They are currently working on a second album. Out of This collaboration came a non conventional styles of music as both Yael and Gabriel bring their own personal background and culture to the mix.

Gabriel's compositions are mostly instrumentals. His compositions have the essence of classical tango, contemporary music and jazz. Others are Flamenco songs with lyrics that tell personal stories. Gabriel has also been performing with Savion Glover for the past 5 years. Savion's tap dancing being the percussion on Gabriel's Flamenco compositions.  Gabriel has been performed in venues such as Blue Note, Lincoln Center, Theatre de la Ville (Paris), Montecarlo and more…

Yael's Music is a progressive music influenced by Israeli Rock, Gypsy Jazz and French music. Each one of her song is telling a different story relating the life of a young woman living in New York. The lyrics are either in French, English, Hebrew, Spanish or Portuguese. Yael speaks all of those languages and incorporated them in her writing. It gives her music the international vibe so particular to New York City.
